So I saw this Tiktok the other day (I tried to find it, but it was impossible, sorry OP, whomever you are…) and it was in response to this other video about some girl teaching people how to eat a croissant like a skinny person (I haven’t seen it, but it rage baited lots of people of course, lovers and haters as always…). Anyway, her response and take on it (paraphrasing here) was that the only thing you should be thinking when eating a croissant – or doing anything else for that matter, is…
Does this make me feel ‘more me’?
And I tell ya – I fxcking LOVE this!
It is exactly the right way to think about things (with one caveat / addition from me, which I’ll get to in a second) – and that’s because this statement is allllll about IDENTITY.
A topic I go hard and deep on in my
CEO THE SHXT OUT OF LIFE® Course,
Module 5 // LIVING ON BRAND: IDENTITY + PURPOSEHow to gain clarity, confidence and authentic alignment with your ideal you + your reason for existing! (Actual title. Yes, even in my course titling I tend to ramble on… sorry not sorry, I prefer clarity over brevity…)
We get into how to build Self Confidence & Self Integrity (hint, it’s the same thing!) – and also deep dive into the 4 Aspects of your Identity, which are:

And this question of “Does this make me feel more me?” is the perfect phrase to not only align all aspects of your identity – but also to hold yourself accountable to them…it…YOU! Lol.
Now, here’s my caveat / addition:The “me” in the “more me” – has to include the “ASPIRATIONAL IDENTITY” part of you – the ideal version of you that is already in there waiting to be unleashed once you minus all of the limiting beliefs about yourself. Otherwise, it kind of falls apart. But keep that locked and loaded – this phrase is magic.
It gives you instant insight into “What Would Ideal Me Do?”…Par exemple:
Internal Debate / Copping Out Excuse: I can just go to the gym tomorrow…
Magic Phrase: Does that make me feel more me?
What Would Ideal Me Do: Well, since we live a badass healthy lifestyle so we can look and feel good in hopes of getting to live this fun and fulfilling life for as long as we can… more ‘Me’ defiantly got off her ass and made that crossfit class happen.
Present Me Response / Actions: Yep. Great points. I’m going. Thanks for that.
_____
Internal Debate / Copping Out Excuse: I can sleep in (again), I need the rest.
Magic Phrase: Does that make me feel more me or less me?
What Would Ideal Me Do: Oh we are defiantly an ‘up and at ’em’ gal, what do you even mean? You love your alone time mornings, you’re gonna skip that for a little more non quality sleep snoozing your alarm for the next 45 minutes?!?!… B Please…
Present Me Response: Honestly, fxck off. Fine. I’m up. Are you happy now? (That was actually my internal conversation this am…) – and she was right. #AlwaysWorthIt
Now – I’ll just note here – this doesn’t always have to be the “right” answer. Sometimes more “me”, even the ideal version is indulging and loving up her choices. What’s the point of discipline, if it doesn’t buy you freedom – freedom to eat the things, drink the things, laze about, have fun, frolic – whatever…
The point is that most of the time “more me” means that “Present Me” is setting “Future Me” up for success. She’s doing the short term hards for the long term freedom and fun that “Future Me” which is actually then “Present Me” gets to enjoy. Yes we just collapsed the space time continuum – aka how manifestation and quantum shifting work…
Which sounds soooo new agey but it’s actually not that deep. Most people think manifesting is wishing for their ideal life to happen. This is knowingthat you are this Ideal/Futuer You and then #DOINGTHEWORK it takes now, in the Present to make it happen!
Alas, next time you’re in that tug-of-war with yourself, just ask:
“Does this make me feel more me?”
And then do whatever Ideal You tells you to do. (Or don’t. I’m not your mom. But also, take my and that Tiktokers advice. It works.)
If you’re ready to start making choices that align with your Ideal You, this is exactly what we build inside my LIFE AT A TEN® Program. It’s where we turn your identity, routines, and purpose into a Strategic Action Plan that makes “more me” your new normal.
Over and out,
