we’ve got a new ontario bar that’s just opened! welcome to the world THE TEN SPOT® pickering. not gonna lie – this was a doozy of a bar to get off the ground. lease was signed pre-covid, and construction was underway – then pandemic season one – halted everything, we got a touch of time to re-start up during last summer and then season two lockdown had us unable to do anything from november until almost june. through mad hustle, grit and a #hardtokill attitude our spry franchise partner ashley salter got. it. done!

what was your life before THE TEN SPOT®?
i was an event designer for thirteen years, i designed over 30 events & weddings each year with my amazing team. we had the opportunity to be featured in many different magazines and designed for different celebrities. as an entrepreneur i love business and i loved creating magic for my clients and to see their reactions every time was the icing on the cake. in 2018 i was approached by another designer who wanted to purchase my business so in october 2019 i officially signed off as ceo and signed on as a proud franchise partner for pickering & whitby . i will have my pickering store open in summer 2021.
what do you love about being a 10spot® franchise partner?
i love the culture that the brand brings, i love being a part of a team and business that has already been established with the highest standards. i can appreciate what it takes to start from ground zero. i like that the franchise is almost turn-key and it represents everything i value in business.
